• This proportional counter is highly sensitive to thermal neutrons and is an excellent choice for Fusor enthusiasts and general fusion research.
• This detector will work both in proportional and corona modes (depending on bias voltage).
• Each tube has been tested and verified to produce proper thermal neutron spectrum.

Sensitivity

• 78 CPS/nv
• Typical Background Counts: 1-6 CPM

Moderator

• For best results surround the detector with 3 inches of HDPE moderator on all sides.

Connectivity

• SHV connector.
• Use 10 nF capacitor and for HV bias voltage filtering and 10 MOhm resistor for HV bias load.
