Description
Maximus Energy Automated Nuclear Lab 8 is an 8-channel/8-detector version of MCA-PRO.
MCA-PRO is a universal digital pulse processor (DPP) and multichannel analyzer (MCA) that functions as a complete spectrometer with PulseCounter Pro software.
MCA-PRO works with just about any detector type (alpha, beta, gamma, neutron, x-ray, SSB, PIPS, HPGe, etc.) that provides an analog output (step-like signal with exponential decay). MCA-PRO also accepts shaped pulses (triangular, trapezoidal, or Gaussian).
MCA-PRO provides an HV bias power supply (positive or negative 300 to 3000V, 0.5 mA max).
Simply connect your gamma, neutron, or other detector types, set up pulse shaping presets, and you are good to go. The system supports up to two different detectors, instruments, or analog data streams simultaneously. 2- and 4-channel MCA-PRO systems are also available.

Installation
- Connect detectors to CH1-CH8 of the MCA-PRO. Connect bias as necessary.
- Connect the MCA-PRO to a PC via the included USB cable.
- Install PicoSDK on your PC.
- Run PulseCounter Pro software. Create a new project and set up presets for the connected detectors.
