Using eV Products CdZnTe (CZT) solid-state compact gamma detector (Fig. 1) and MCA-PRO 16 I have acquired the following calibration spectra: Cs-137, Co-57, and Ba-133 (Fig. 2 – 4). I was getting better resolution at higher bias voltages, so I ended up using the detector at 900V bias. I have supplied the preamp power using a 9V battery.

I could not acquire Fe-55 spectrum due to solid aluminum housing of this CZT detector, which was absorbing all low-energy gammas.
